>> Not for the casual computer user
I bought this wi fi card about two weeks ago and still don t have it working with my Verizon Mobile Hotspot My laptop easily linked up with the Verizon device running Vista My desktop runs XP and although I updated the driver as suggested in another review it still will not connect Admittedly I have not spent much time on it but should not have to any more than a typical network card installation
I have worked on computers for many years and now only do something when I must retired and I am sure I will get it working but
The instructions that came with the card was in two languages neither in English I downloaded the manual from the Sabrent site and it was less than helpful AND it had water marks all over it saying this was an illegal copy of the documentation
I would spent twenty bucks more for something than has docs and is easy to install
>> have to search for driver for Windows 7
I bought it on 3/25/2010 at with free delivery and received on 3/31 It is now on 4/2 without free delivery
When I installed it my new Dell Inspiron 560 Desktop would freeze It happened several times in two different days I finally made determination to solve it today I started with reviews here
Anyway the driver comes with the disc is not good for Windows 7 I went to and used chipset number RT2561ST to find the right driver for my system
Two pitfalls the supplied disc instead of to find the driver
>> I love the way it work
I used the Ativa Wireless G USB Adapter 802 11g In the beginning the connection was fine and then it stated to slow down and sometimes I used to lost connection wile online I have two PC one in my office downstairs and one in the bedroom upstairs I bought two adapters and ever since I connected them to both PC I m getting the result that I was waiting for faster internet connection and not interruption wile online
Definitely was worthy spending the little it cost
I guess sometimes cheap is good
