Well i am a gamer so i got this processor with samsung spinpoint harddrive patriot ddr3 viper series 6gb evga p55 sli a bfg 9800gtx with 1gb ddr2 ram an antec trupower 1000w power supply and an antec 1200 case This processor according to windows 7 pro x64 bit says that there are 8 cores in device manager and runs at 2 8 ghz Due to the turbo boost technology when i am gaming the thing will speed up but computer maintains an 36 degrees inside the case This case is super duper cool and keeps your things cool too
