>> Driver does not work with Windows 7
This product was easy to install and was installed automatically with Windows 7 problem is it causes glitches and pauses in the system and interrupts programs I tried the supplied driver and that was far worse Sent it back I guess I will have to spend more to get this right
>> Why is it so difficult to find a good reliable Wireless N adapter
Bought this after good reviews here and some other places Installed in PCI slot startet PC and run Software Slow slow bad receiving the signal from my D Link 615 router Looked online for a better newer driver or software thru Windows 7 but did not help
This is now my 7th adapter D Link Trendnet Linksys Buffalo and after sending this one back I ll found one that works
It is from Hawkings HWUN3 N Usb adapter is for now the one that provides speed and no signal drops I paid more 47 but for piece of mind worth it
I m not saying that the Sabrent might not work for you but it did not for me
>> Linux users beware
The chipset is made by Ralink which is Linux friendly company that in fact ships the NIC with Linux drivers But I ve had nothing but trouble getting it to work under Mandriva 2010 both with the Mandriva drivers and with the updated drivers from the Ralink s site I spent hours trying to make it work with GUI tools iwconfig iwpriv and ifconfig and it aside from displaying available networks it just would not make an actual connection At my last straw I tried using the Windows drivers with ndiswrapper and it finally worked So I m happy that I don t have to send this thing back but I m very peeved that I couldn t get the native penguin drivers to work
