Used on a Windows XP box Software and driver weren t any problem at all The card is a little finacky in the PCI slot When I tightened the screw to secure it it didn t want to work When I removed the screw and re seated in the slot it worked fine Connects without any problems and is fast as can be expected

DO NOT USE THE INSTILATION DISK LET WINDOWS SET IT UP USING ITS OWN SOFT WARE This product didn t want to connect no matter how hard i tried when i used its software Then i found a blog telling me to throw the disk away I deleted the software from my pc and put the card back in and fired it up to see what happens Windows led me through its own software location set up and I ve never had another issue So save yourself the headach of pulling your tower apart 3 or 4 times and just throw the instilation disk in the trash I promise you won t be sorry

I bought this refurbished for 18 plus shipping from DealBarn through Amazon s site and am totally satisfied I didnt expect it to arrive as soon as it did so you can imagine my surprise when i went to the mailbox On top of that the installation went smoothly The one and only hiccup I had was because of course i installed the card before installing software The directions tell you clearly in a couple places to install software first shut down then install the hardware Worked like a champ
