I ve had no problems with the device so far Aspect ratio distortion is non existent on my wide screen monitor
Only real con I found is that there is no on/off switch and hence it continually pumps signal blank signal even when everything else is turned off The simple solution I have is just unplugging it when I m done Not a big hassle for me could be inconvenient for others

The colorwheel broke on my suite s TV and this has been a tremendous replacement for playing RCA outputting consoles/DVD players Mine has not even gotten warm due to extended use per other reviewers it runs cool and gets the job done THe single 3 5mm sound jack on the back of the device is great idea and it works well Great product if you want to connect multiple RCA devices to a VGA display
