I bought this to replace my original iMac hard drive This is not only much larger in capacity than my original iMac hard drive original was 350 GB in size but also much faster I got it installed at BestBuy for 40 This was one of the best upgrade choices I have made in a long time Even better than the memory bump i gave my iMac from 2GB to 4 GB after buying crucial memory on amazon I think the performance bump is higher in the hard drive upgrade case
