I ve ordered Toshiba 500gb SATA hard drive as a replacement for Toshiba 320gb drive
Old drive was literally killed by endless panic attack of Vista OS When OS crashes unexpectedly it damages hard drive badly
It was really easy to replace old drive they practically identical
On the new drive I ve installed Win7 and made no additional partitions The presence of butable partition on the old drive did non help in any way The drive was damaged
So far 500gb works well However I still have a lot of concerns about Win7 stability
I ve already experienced few crashes during regular shutdown operations
I m 100 positive those crashes is a major cause of damages to hard drives
